    Ms. Johns,

I have been looking for some information and came past your site. I am hoping you might be able to answer a question for me. I am making a stone for my parents 50th anniversary and there is one part of the stone I am going to need to paint. This is a stone that will sit out in the garden, in the weather and elements.

I am presuming that the names of the pets that you have inscribed on the stones is painted? Is this paint supposed to hold up to the elements? If so, what kind is it that you use?

I know this must seem an odd email, but I am just not finding my answers and yours looks like what I was trying to accomplish.

By the way, your stones are wonderful and I love what you are doing–for such a wonderful cause!

    Thank you for your time!

    Hello Juli!

Thank you so much for your inquiry. I do have an answer for you! The stones actually have vinyl stickers on them, not paint. As for our garden sculptures, they are actually painted with acrylic and wear/age over time outside. I’m sorry I can’t be of much help, as I didn’t actually make those stones. I’m the owner of the gallery and an artist named Nancy Faust made them. The artist of the garden sculptures is Lori Lorimer.

    Good luck with your project!
