Re-Frames: Before & After

re-frame: BEFORE IMAGE – this piece has slipped from it’s mat and definitely needs an update

re-frame: AFTER IMAGE

re-frame: BEFORE IMAGE – This original watercolour painting is in a black metal frame with plexi-glass and no matting.  It’s in desperate need of regular glass, an even border of matting, and an updated frame.

re-frame: BEFORE IMAGE – This frame is too overpowering for the painting, so it’s being re-used for a custom ordered mirror instead.

Re-Frame Example – BEFORE

AFTER

BEFORE: hockey pucks for the Spitfires board room – we re-framed a series of 5 with different pucks and similar images in the center.

AFTER: what a difference!

Re-Frame Example: BEFORE – this linen and blue wood frame could use an update!

Re-Frame Example: AFTER – WOW!

BEFORE

AFTER – This is a more contemporary frame, but still allows the the antique style of the image to shine through.  The detail in silver on this new frame really accents the femininity of the piece.

BEFORE

AFTER – this frame is perfect with the hint of green!

BEFORE

AFTER – this needle point really needed to be brightened up!

BEFORE – and unframed canvas can look great, but adding a simple metal frame really finishes it off and makes a bolder statement

AFTER

BEFORE – two prints by the same artist were brought in, and our client was looking for something darker to make the pieces look finished, instead of this silver which opens them up more.

AFTER

BEFORE

AFTER – Paul Murray prints are very popular to get re-framed!

BEFORE – this black frame and liner is heavy looking and a BIT out-dated :)

AFTER – this VERY inexpensive bright blue metal frame allows for the colours in the painting to shine!

BEFORE – This frame job has too many colours involved and the framing actually takes away from the bright, beautiful colours on the silk wall hanging.

We are re-framing it this week. Check back for the results!
